A roller lock (or roller bolt lock) is a specialized type of mortice lock that uses a spring-loaded roller instead of a traditional triangular latch.
Unlike a standard door handle that you have to turn to retract the latch, a roller lock allows the door to be opened or closed with a simple push or pull.
